Puppy Foundations Board & Train

Welcoming a new puppy to your home is an exciting time! Who doesn’t love the smell of puppy breath and their little squeaks? But it can also come with sleepless nights, potty accidents, and a long list of other behavior problems… but it doesn’t have to! With our Puppy Foundations Board and Train Program, we will work through those tough puppy challenges and build the right behavioral foundation for you to enjoy your new family member for many years to come!

Puppy Foundations is for puppies from 8 weeks to one year old. The below curriculum is customizable! During our initial call and evaluation, we will discuss what is most important to you and develop a training plan to match your needs to give you the Positive Start you and your dog deserve.

Curriculum of foundation behaviors will include:

  • Potty Training

  • Crate Training

  • Sit/ Down

  • Stay/ Come

  • Place (go lay down in a specific location)

  • Leave It/ Drop It

  • Loose Leash Walking

  • Watch Me (giving eye contact)

  • Food Manners

  • Door Manners

  • Health Care Desensitization: Nail Trimmings, Ear Cleaning, Teeth Brushing, and Baths

The program includes :

  • Pick-up and drop-off are included up to 60 miles away from Orchard Park, NY. If you are further away, an additional $2 per mile will be added.

  • Daily photos and weekly video tutorials of your puppy. Each week you will receive a video compilation of that week’s training sessions in a private YouTube link. These are fun check-ins for you to see the progress your dog is making, as well as tutorials for you to reference and emulate the training process once your dog is back home.

  • Training for the owner and household members. At the end of the program, we will deliver your puppy home and spend 2 hours with you demonstrating your dogs new skills and, most importantly, teaching you how to maintain these behaviors and continue their learning. Two weeks after their return home, we will have a one hour video conference to check-in.

We feel strongly that you use the same items at home that we use during the program to successfully train your puppy. This helps to ensure your puppy’s comfort, familiarity, and consistency once they return home, therefore, the following are required items to be sent with your puppy for their program: crate, bedding, food/treats, collar with tags (flat or martingale collars only; prong, slip, and electronic collars will not used), leashes, and their favorite toys. We guarantee a Positive Start to their training, but the positive outcome is ultimately up to YOU! Your commitment to continuing their training and development is the key to success and years of enjoyment with a well-mannered dog.

We are a results oriented program and want you and your dog to succeed, therefore, a minimum commitment of 4 weeks is required for the Puppy Foundations Board and Train. Each family and puppy is unique so the program is customizable beyond the basic curriculum outlined above to cater to your individual goals.
